Ajaccio (2A)

A fire has been reported in the municipality of Ajaccio. Numerous resources have been deployed, including two Canadair aircraft. Update: at 8.00 this morning, the fire, which broke out yesterday at around 4.30 pm in Alata, near the Château de la Punta in Ajaccio, is reported to have burnt 2 hectares of vegetation before being brought under control at around 9.30 pm. The fire remains under surveillance due to strong westerly winds forecast for today.
