Aude (11): Police officer injured in a car chase

At around 5 pm on Friday, a patrol from the Narbonne Anti-Crime Brigade came across a driver known to the police who did not have a driving licence. The police therefore gave chase. The driver refused to comply and then collided with the police vehicle. One police officer suffered a neck injury. He was granted one day’s full sick leave. The Anti-Crime Brigade eventually managed to subdue the man. He is to be tried under the immediate appearance procedure.
