A BRI police officer was accidentally killed on Wednesday afternoon during a training exercise at the former Francazal airbase, according to the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office.
"This police officer was taking part in an exercise involving around twenty officers from several Investigation and Intervention Brigades (BRI) across France when he was fatally shot," report our colleagues at L'Indépendant, quoting the public prosecutor’s office.
An investigation into manslaughter has been launched to establish the exact circumstances of this accident.
