Senior Corporal Rudy, operator 18/112, saved the life of a five-year-old child by guiding his parents through chest compressions over the phone. In Paris, all operators at the operations centre (CO) begin their careers in the emergency call centre.
In addition to this ‘hands-on’ experience, they undergo a five-week specialist training course, which enables them to handle emergency calls as effectively as possible.
