Seven months after the terrorist attack in Trèbes and Carcassonne, a police operation took place on Tuesday morning. Six individuals were taken into police custody today following a letter of request from the investigating judges, a judicial source has confirmed to our colleagues at L'Express.
The anti-terrorist operation took place very early on Tuesday morning in the Aude, against the difficult backdrop of a department ravaged by flooding.
Raids in Toulouse
Operations by officers from the Anti-Terrorism Sub-Directorate (SDAT) took place at several locations, including Trèbes, the town where, on 23 March, Radouane Lakdim, aged 25, killed the butcher and a customer at the Super U supermarket, before shooting dead Gendarmerie Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame. Shortly before that, in Carcassonne, he had shot a motorist before stealing his car at the start of his killing spree.
