Fire extinguished; 25 hectares of vegetation burnt
5.30 pm: 12 hectares have already gone up in smoke in the valley where the fire broke out. There are now 120 firefighters on the scene, trying to contain the flames. The left-hand side of the valley is being tackled by aircraft, whilst the fire is spreading unchecked on the right-hand side.
4.00 pm: The fire broke out at around 1.30 pm at a place called Coucouru, a wooded hill, and has ravaged nearly 2 hectares of forest. Significant fire service resources have been deployed to the scene: around fifty firefighters have been mobilised, along with two fire-reconnaissance aircraft.
At present, no campsites are believed to be at risk, but the fire is reportedly spreading towards Sampzon due to the wind.
