A fire has been reported in the commune of Issac in the Dordogne department.

The fire brigade are on their way.

Wednesday 4 September, 12.30 pm: emergency services are on site to complete the flooding operation; the operation will be wound up this afternoon. A total of 5 hectares of vegetation has been destroyed.

11.10 pm: The area affected may be revised downwards, though this is difficult to estimate due to the difficult-to-access terrain. A second outbreak covering 150m² was quickly brought under control near the site of the initial fire. The fire brigade will spend the night at the scene with all fire-fighting resources deployed.

8.30 pm: The fire is still burning; the area affected is not yet known.

7.37 pm: After briefly subsiding, the fire has flared up again due to strong gusts of wind in the valley.

7.00 pm: Request for a Level 4 GIFF response; a fierce fire in a small valley where the SDIS24 fire brigade had successfully established a protective perimeter around the house, as the dwelling was not affected by the flames.

18:14: The fire has spread across 10 hectares of vegetation; a wooded area of over 100 hectares is under threat. Three UIFF units, one PCC, one VSAV and one reconnaissance aircraft (Horus24) are at the scene.
