According to reports received by our editorial team on Monday evening, confirming the information provided by our colleagues at Latest News from Alsace, a forest fire has been calling on the fire brigade since 3 pm on Sunday, in the town of Haguenau (Grand-Est), along the D29. The fire is believed to have started in the wooded part of the Oberhoffen military camp’s parade ground.
After being brought under control by firefighters late on Sunday, the fire flared up again late on Monday afternoon. This latest outbreak mobilised 70 firefighters. In total, six hectares were ravaged by the flames.
