A fire is currently burning in the town of Comprénac, in the department of Aveyron (12).

Four GIFF units and air assets have been mobilised. Reinforcements from outside the department have also been requested.

UPDATE

17 June – 8.00 pm: 80 hectares have already been burnt; around 100 hectares and a number of homes are under threat. Air support has been requested.

17 June – 10.00 pm: 85 hectares have been burnt; several hundred hectares are at risk. Several MILAN and PÉLICAN airdrops have been carried out.

18 June – 01:45: 130 hectares have been affected, with several hundred hectares under threat. The fire has not yet been brought under control.

18 June – 11.00 am: 160 hectares have been covered; several hundred hectares remain at risk. These areas are very difficult to access. Aerial resources have returned and are carrying out water drops.

18 June – 6.30 pm: 200 hectares have been burnt, with several critical areas affected. Reinforcements from the Hérault (34) are on their way.
