Whilst firefighters in the Pyrénées-Orientales have been battling a major bushfire since Tuesday, a new fire has been reported in the town of Belesta.
According to numerous witnesses, a large plume of smoke is visible. Access is difficult for the emergency services; we therefore advise you to avoid the area and to make way for emergency vehicles.
