7.00 am - A total of 40 hectares went up in smoke; 255 firefighters, four Canadair aircraft and two Dash aircraft were deployed. “The fire is under control,” say the firefighters.

9.00 pm - According to the latest figures, 40 hectares have been burnt, and no fewer than 175 firefighters are on the scene. Reinforcements are expected, according to the regional press.
8.08 pm - 4 Canadair aircraft, the MILAN-73, and the SDIS 30 water-bombing helicopter -Morane 30-, are still in the area to carry out several drops.
7.50 pm - Firefighters are tackling the flanks of the fire, which is spreading through an area of dense vegetation.
7.30 pm - According to the latest report, 20 hectares have been burnt and 70 firefighters are at the scene. Reinforcements from outside the department are expected to arrive.
7.20 pm - The Gard fire service is asking local residents not to go to the scene and to ensure that all emergency vehicles can pass through unhindered. Route 5 is closed to traffic.
6.30 pm - "A serious fire is currently raging in the village of Vallabrix, near the riding centre. The horses were evacuated in time! The village of La Capelle-et-Masmolène is not affected.", as stated on the Facebook page of the Java Stables.
6.22 pm - Three water-bombing aircraft -Canadair- Civil Protection personnel are being sent to the scene to assist the fire brigade on the ground in their efforts to contain the spread of the fire.
6.14 pm - The fire broke out shortly after 5 pm, not far from the D5. A water-bombing helicopter has been deployed.
6.12 pm - The initial report released by the fire service to the local press states that two hectares have been destroyed.
6.11 pm - Firefighters from SDIS 30 are currently on the scene. The fire is spreading unchecked. A riding centre has been devastated by the flames and animals are currently being evacuated, according to the page Languedoc Weather.
6.10 pm - Tracking enabled.
