The fire has spread across 125 hectares, of which 50 to 70 hectares have actually burned so far.
🚒 151 firefighters and 78 vehicles have been mobilized. Reinforcements from the fire departments of Yonne, Nièvre, and Meurthe-et-Moselle are also on their way.
🚁 The two water-bombing helicopters have made 50 drops to support the teams on the ground. Their operations have now been suspended due to nightfall.
As of now, there have been no injuries and no homes have been affected.
⚠️ The prefecture’s recommendations remain in effect:
▪️ In Couchey, where traffic remains prohibited, residents are advised to stay at home.
▪️ In areas affected by smoke, limit travel, time spent outdoors, and outdoor physical activities.
▪️ Keep doors and windows closed.
▪️ Ventilate only when conditions permit.
▪️ Turn off controlled mechanical ventilation systems.
▪️ Closely monitor the most vulnerable individuals.
